Welcome to Thunder Mountain! Our school is located in the East Valley at the base of the Superstition Mountains. I believe that our setting is one of the most beautiful in the entire country. Students attend class in individual grade "Pods" that open to a large courtyard.
Our school day begins at 8:05 A.M. and students are dismissed at 3:00 P.M. We have a full middle school program designed to prepare students for high school and beyond. Elective courses include: Computer Applications, Physical Education, Band, Chorus, Family Consumer Science, Spanish, Art and Police Science.
We have a special Accelerated Reader Program to encourage our students to read more often. A complete list of all of our Accelerated Reader books is available on this website.
Last Year's Test Scores have us performing above the National Average in ALL areas tested. We also have been designated as as Arizona HIGHLY PERFORMING SCHOOL. Our goal for this year is to have our school FAR EXCEED the National Average, and reach the EXCELLING SCHOOL CATEGORY, which is the highest in the state.
