Classroom Management

Classroom Rules

     *   Respect the teacher's right to teach.
     *   Respect the students' right to learn
     *   Come prepared to learn with all necessary materials
     *   Respect school property
     *   Be polite, friendly and cooperative. Cruelty and rudeness will not be tolerated

Class Materials

     *   Pen or pencil and eraser (pencil is required for Math assignments)
     *   Notebook paper
     *   Agenda
     *   Stamp sheet
     *   Accelerated Reader book

Homework Policy

Homework is expected to be completed and ready to turn in at the beginning of class.  Homework turned in by the next class period will also receive a grade.  However, students will receive a NO stamp, and possibly full day, if homework is not turned in on the due date.  If absent, a student is expected to make up the assigned work.  One day is allowed for each day absent.

Classroom Procedures

Students are greeted at the door by the teacher. Students are expected to quietly navigate to their assigned seat and start the mindset (mini-assignment) listed on the board. The teacher takes roll, collects homework, stamps students' stamp sheet, and then discusses the lesson on the board with the students. After this, the teacher begins instruction of the day's objective.
