CLASSROOM PROCEDURES

Students are greeted at the door by the teacher. Students quickly and quietly navigate to their assigned seat. Have your stampsheet and AR book out as soon as you take your seat.

They then quietly start the mindset (mini-assignment) listed on the board. The teacher takes roll, stamps students' stamp sheet, and then discusses the lesson on the board with the students. After this, the teacher starts the lesson for the day's objective.

1.    Remain in your seat during class discussions and presentations.

2.    Do not eat or drink in class.  No gum allowed in class.

3.    Remove your hat and sunglasses before you enter the classroom.

4.    Be RESPECTFUL of all students, teachers, and guests.

 

 

 

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

 We expect all students to;

1.    Take initiative to hand in all assignment complete and on time, and to make up any missed assignments,

2.    Follow school rules as outlined in the “Code of Conduct” handbook and classroom procedures,

3.    Attend class on time, be prepared to Learn, and participate in classroom activities.

 

Be polite, friendly and cooperative. No cruelty, rudeness, meanness, or violent behavior will be tolerated.

                                      Grading System

Grades will be based upon the student’s academic performance. Performance areas include:

Completed assignments

1.    Classroom decorum and effort

2.    Quizzes

3.    Group projects

4.    Criterion-reference tests

Each student is required to complete all assignments, quizzes, projects, and tests. Failure to submit the required work will result in a zero grade for that item.

Monday-AR Read for ˝ hour/Write ten sentences using the vocab words

Tuesday- AR Read for ˝ hour

Wednesday- AR Read for ˝ hour/ Write the spelling words in a meaningful sentence

Thursday- AR Read for ˝ hour / Study for Fridays spelling and vocab test

Friday- Read one and half hours of AR over the weekend
