Homework Policy
In order for my students to succeed in school and do well, they must attend
school on a regular basis. I post all assignments on the board, daily. This
way, they can come by at any time and write down any missed assignment due to
absences. A 10% of possible points will be deducted per day it is late.

Classroom Procedures
Students are greeted at the door by the teacher. Students quietly navigate to
their assigned seats after picking up their portfolios. They then quietly start
the mindset (mini-assignment) listed on the board. The teacher takes roll, and
then discusses the lesson on the board with the students as they fill out their
agenda. After this, the teacher starts the lesson for the day's objective.

Special Announcements
Throughout the coming year, my students will have the opportunity to explore
effective means of both oral and written communication. Students will write
using their own words to develop ideas accurately and clearly with supporting
details and facts. Using the six traits of writing, students will be able to
follow a logical sequence and create stories that come from their own personal
experiences.
